Artist's Statement
I paint what I see, the world around us is just so colourful & bright it inspires me daily. It is not uncommon to hear me say ... "Stop everyone, we're in a painting". Usually I get quizzical looks until they see the view on canvas.
I grew up in Ontario, so as soon as I finished school and moved to BC in 2006 I was thoroughly inspired to start painting. I did an art show in Sun Peaks in 2006, which was an overwhelming success and caused me to take up my passion more seriously.
My paintings include views from biking down Whistler, skiing in Sun Peaks or driving along the Coquihalla where I can usually be found pausing to take a photo for future painting reference. I have no formal training, so one can see noticable improvement with each painting.
Thus far, I've had the wonderful opportunity to be the 2008 BC Ice Wine Festival Artist.
